Good morning everyone and happy Friday!
My current obsession: this Beauty Matcha (stack SHAHEEN15 to save)
It’s been an extremely tough week for many of us and I just want to say thank you for being here and offering support and friendship. Dissociating for a while has served me well and being able to unplug from the constant new cycle. I’ve also leaned heavily into holiday decor and that has brought me so much joy, hoping I can get some things up this weekend because why not.
I shared this on stories but the only thing I can do is remain hopeful for the future and concentrate on my children and the people around me. I hope to raise children that are inclusive, kind, involved, and respectful and at this point that’s all I can control. I hope you all are working your way through the week and I thought answering your Q&A from earlier in the week may be a great distraction.
There were so many requests I am going to try to mindfully tackle about half today and work on the other half next door. If you have any more requests, feel free to leave them in the comments.
9x12 Neutral Rug under $500
Loloi Rug - I have shared this rug countless times having owned a few rugs from the brand and I think the quality is spectacular especially considering the price. A 9x12 is under $200 and they have several color combos.
Nice Garland
There was no budget on this so I’m going to give a few options: I’ve always had great luck with SM stuff at Target, I love this Crate and Barrel option if budget isn’t an option, and Amazon has several I like and have saved here to a folder.
Husband - no clothes, likes tech & sports
I bought this backpack cooler for Trevor a few years ago and he uses it constantly for trips, games, going to friends, almost anything. I got a Theragun Sense for myself a few months ago and I have to fight Trevor for it most evenings. Highly recommend!
Newborn First Christmas, second in family
I know this well as I kind of lamented on what we could give Zahra that she didn’t have access to from Zain. I would say something personalized! We got her a few toys but I love these books with their names involved that they can treasure as they get older. Both my kids also still play with their name trains!
In Laws that have everything
Okay, I feel this and also I just feel like parents and in-laws are always tough to shop for. He’s my top 3 recommendations: Brightland Set (I was gifted this years ago and have quickly become addicted. It’s indulgent and useful!), Weezie Towels (can be pricey but are so luxurious and they have great gift sets), or a Land’s End tote (I’ve gifted one to my mom and MIL and you can always personalize with something cute like their name or grandma)
Travel Bag for guys
Trevor has two he loves and uses both equally just depends if you want a backpack or duffle bag. The Everlane backpack & Dagne Dover Duffle are both fabulous!
Warm, Timeless Wool Coat $200-350
Wanted to share a few options I love and/or own: Double Faced Brushed Coat, Classic Single-Breasted Coat, and Daphne Topcoat in wool.
Favorite Things Party with girlfriends $25
Ohh, I love these! I generally stick with this Almond Oil which is always a crowd pleaser, my favorite collapsible cosmetic bag that I’ve gifted several times, or a good candle like this one!
Designer Crossbody $5k
This is well under budget but I am a big fan of Toteme’s current bags and love this textured tote. I’ve tried this bag on many times and think it’s classic and timeless but be aware there are so many similar copies out now. I’ve also tried the Puzzle Bag on a few times and think it works well crossbody or otherwise.
Budget Tall Boots $250
This has been a hot topic and I always recommend these or these! I’ve had great luck with their shoes and think the price is as good as it gets for the quality.
Thank you so much for sending all the wonderful requests in and I will do it again next week!
xx
