Hello friends!
I truly can not believe we are in 2025 and these past two weeks have honestly felt like a blur. This past year was one of trying to find balance and saying ‘yes’ less and I think I am there. Sometimes with work and even my personal life if I am not growing at a rapid rate or expanding my business I feel like I am not succeeding (possibly the first generation in me) but that’s just not true.
Last year between life, dentistry, and this business I was run ragged and my anxiety had become unmanageable. I told myself I would take on less this year and take more clear and consistent breaks and I’m proud to say I did. I know we all glamorize being the boss but there is happiness in every stage of life and that’s where I am now. I have reprioritized my health and tried to take more clear breaks from social media which can be hard when it’s your job but I know it’s good for us.
Just a reminder that January doesn’t have to be a month where you set all these new goals and put pressure on yourself. We have just survived the holidays, weeks home with our kids, and hosting family and friends. Now is a great time to breathe and take a little mental break if you need it!
As for life currently, my kids are supposed to go back to school tomorrow but we are currently being blanketed in snow so let’s hope it’s all cleaned up. Trevor also turns 40 tomorrow and we can’t wait to celebrate. I’m excited to get back to our routine but have enjoyed the lazy days playing board games and watching movies.
I thought it may be fun to share a few random things I have bought over the break that have sparked joy:
Fleece Lined Leggings — with the current snowfall, I have barely taken these off. They are on major sale so sizes keep going in and out of stock but keep your eye out. They are worth it! I take my true size but if you run between I would size down.
Acrylic Jewelry Box — I’m not sure why I have waited so long to buy this but my jewelry has been all over my closet for years and the random box I had from college was not cutting it. As part of my closet clean out and organization I bought this and am obsessed. The tiers are stackable and the cubbies are adjustable!
Glass Food Storage — we are trying our best to rid ourselves of any unnecessary plastic and we have several tupperware lingering around so I finally ordered this set to replace what we have.
V Waist Leggings — I shared this over on stories but I do not usually buy their leggings and am blown away by these. I tend to have issue with leggings being long enough and these are not only long enough but the fit and material is so good.
2025 Planner — this is the same planner I buy every year and love the design and functionality. It doesn’t have a bunch of fluff I don’t need and keeps my life on track.
Air Essentials Sweatshirt & Sweatpants — this is not a recent purchase but has come in very handy recently. I traveled over the holidays and basically lived in it for days, the material is about the only thing softer than Varley in my opinion and you won’t regret it. I took my true size in both pieces!
Hope you all are staying safe and warm with this winter storm!
xx,
